Breakfast
We woke up today with excitement knowing that we would be meeting everyone at Kosen, me and Rahim woke up around 7:30 AM and took our covid test that Yoko sensei gave us the day before (Me and Rahim both had negative results). We ate a breakfast buffet in the hotel (the curry was really good) and after that we went back to our rooms in order to prepare ourselves for going to the School. Everyone who didn’t test themselves for covid before breakfast tested themselves after breakfast and unfortunately there was one of us who did test positive for covid :(
Bad News
Everyone went to the hotel lobby to discuss what to do now that one of us tested positive for covid, after a few phone calls later we got informed about the bad news that we had to cancel the first day of school and that Charlie (the unfortunate one) had to go to the hospital for more covid tests. He doesn’t have any symptoms so let’s hope for a speedy recovery for Charlie.
Out with the boys
We decided to explore Kokubu a little bit more after being informed of the bad news by taking a walk around the city with everyone who wasn't in close contact with Charlie. I accidentally discovered a new hot drink from a vending machine which Sebastian sensei really likes (it is a citrus and honey tea). After our little walk we had to go back to the hotel because our bento boxes had arrived.

Exploring Kokubu

Something random

Chilling in our room
After eating our bento boxes at the hotel, some decided to take a second walk around Kokubu to see what the city had to offer. Everyone later returned to their rooms in order to join a Microsoft team call with Kosen. We received some information about our schedule along with a wrapped gift all in a red bag which was really generous of them.

Chilling some more
After the video call ended we were sitting some more in our room and me, Rahim and Amir were writing for the blog until around 7 PM. We decided that everyone except the ones in quarantine would go and eat at a restaurant and later bring some food for those who were stuck in the hotel. The food was really good (I had steak with rice and miso soup) and we had a great time despite the circumstances.
