Start of the day
Due to covid related implications, today we spent the school day in our hotel rooms, practicing social distancing. The day consisted of 4 periods, as well as a lunch break in the middle. At first we had English class, followed by 3 periods of PBL (Problem-Based Learning) where we created a chat app using C#, blazor and signalR.
Period 1: English Class
At the English class, we were introduced to 2 new sections, the information systems section as well as the engineering section. They told us about what life at school was like, the different subjects with some deep dives into specific topics, the teachers they had and the different clubs and activities, all accompanied by videos and/or presentations. After the different sections had done their presentations, it was our turn to present ourselves, where we would explain how our school works as well as a short introduction to ourselves.
Period 2-4: PBL
This period consisted of working together to create a chat app in C#, using the frameworks blazor and signalR. It was not too difficult, although the language barrier combined together with the not so good hotel wifi made it difficult to communicate at times.

Meeting with Ube kosen (online)
At 18:50, all of us here in japan, some from NTI Stockholm Odenplan at home as well as students from Ube kosen gathered on zoom to get to know each other. People were split into 6 different groups, and got around 1 hour to talk and get to know each other.

Conclusion
Today we finally got started working together with Kagoshima kosen, and also got the chance to get to know some of the people from Ube kosen as well. It was a great experience, seeing so many new faces and getting to know so many new people. Hopefully we will be able to meet Kagoshima kosen without needing to be concerned about slow wifi tomorrow.
