Breakfast and leaving for school
I woke up at 7:30 to get ready for breakfast. Me and my roommate went downstairs to eat breakfast and met the whole gang there. We talked for a little while about how it’s going to be an interesting day and how it’s sad for Albin, Markus and Charlie to not be available. Soon after breakfast some of us waited at the lobby whilst others went back to the room and were relaxing until gathering at 10 in the lobby. We started to head towards the train station which was about 10 min away from the hotel so we got to walk for a bit which was nice. We arrived at the station, bought the tickets and waited for the train because everything was in Japanese. We had yoko sensei with us to help us with the whole trip. Since it was only one station away it wasn’t a long journey. But from the station to the school took us about 30 min to walk.

Arrival at NIT
Once we arrived at the school we went upstairs towards a room which was bigger than any normal classroom I have ever seen. We met 3 teachers from the school and they gave a great presentation about the school and what makes it so unique. After that we got a tour around the building where students design and build creations with metal and other materials.

Lunch break
At around 12:00 during lunch break we ordered some delicious lunch from a set of menus which was then delivered to us. I chose herring whilst the other guys either chose pork or chicken. We had some small talks but for the most part everyone was enjoying their lunch.

Lunch With The Boys
Start of the PBL project
After lunch we had some Japanese students join us and start a project with different groups so Japanese and Swedish students were mixed. For my group it went really well. We started to make the chat app and some features teachers were suggesting was translating text. We went right into it and we started to have some trouble with API but it all worked out in the end thanks to the Japanese students' intelligence. The event came to an end and we were onto our next plan.
English discussion
At around 15:00 we had an English teacher visit us to have a discussion with the Japanese students. It was a lot of fun. We learned a lot about Japan as well as they learned some things about Sweden. Unfortunately because of Charlie, Albin and Markus' circumstances with Charlie having positive Covid and Albin and Markus being in the same room they all three had to have this discussion online through zoom. We all had a great time together and at the end the Japanese students organized card games,m and video games which were super fun. It ended with everyone saying goodbye to each other and for hopes of seeing each other again tomorrow.
